Skin Texture and Scarring Rejuvenation
Smoother skin and a clearer complexion with Rejuvia MedSpa
You can be consistent and conscientious in your skin care regimen and still feel like you’re fighting a losing battle with acne scarring, pockmarks, post-surgical scars and other imperfections you simply can’t control. Technology comes to the rescue with the Rejuvia MedSpa solution for smoother skin and a clearer complexion. We have the technology to treat a variety of scars, with the exception of more serious and complex conditions such as raised scars and keloid scars.
As your body ages, it produces less oil (which means the skin — especially the top layer — gets drier); plus, your skin’s under-the-surface structure is not as elastic or supple as it used to be, so it takes longer to bounce back than it once did. The visible results of these changes: fine lines, deep wrinkles, dry patches, crepey areas, and increased healing time for scars and breakouts.

The vast majority of acne scars result from persistent cases of inflammatory acne affecting the same area of skin.In cases of persistent inflammatory acne vulgaris, large areas of skin and underlying tissue are damaged, but the continuing infection and inflammation prevent the body from mobilizing the cells and materials necessary for repairing those structures. As a result, the original (healthy) tissue is replaced by scar tissue.
Sometimes acne can leave scars on the skin. Scars can be small, deep holes, or wide, shallow indentations. These irregular pits are often called “pock marks,” and they can form wherever acne covers the skin-most often on the face, shoulders, and back. Scars usually form only if acne is very severe, but even moderate acne can cause scarring if a person picks at acne blemishes.
Anytime there is an incision or cut in the skin, there is going to be a scar. Dr. Bernstein says, “There is no such thing as no scar – it cannot be completely eliminated.” However, the goal is to make any scar as small and discreet as possible.
Rosacea is a chronic and potentially life-disruptive disorder primarily of the facial skin, often characterized by flare-ups and remissions. Many have observed that it typically begins any time after age 30 as a redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead that may come and go. IPL has been a leading treatment.
Stretch marks seem to be caused, literally, by a stretching of the skin. Stretch marks are more extreme when coupled with an increase in cortisone, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands. Cortisone weakens elastic fibers in the skin. Stretch marks develop in a variety of circumstances: pregnancy, weight gain, medication use, conditions or diseases.
A birthmark is a benign irregularity on the skin which is present at birth or appears shortly after birth, usually in the first month. Birthmarks are caused by overgrowth of blood vessels, melanocytes, smooth muscle, fat, fibroblasts, or keratinocytes.
